'America's Got Talent' Reveals How The Show Is Coping With Simon Cowell's Absence
America's Got Talent went live again from the Universal Studios, Hollywood. The show marked its return on Aug. 11. that showcase various talents performing. The show has been popularly known for some prominent performances over the course of 15 seasons.
The show has been streaming live through the satellite across the world. While the fans of the show are all around the globe, it is obvious to note a longtime judge is missing from the show. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara returned on the sets along with Terry Crews, who is responsible for hosting the competitive show.
However, Simon Cowell was missed on the show as he met an accident and currently recovering. Keeping in line with the show must go on, Kelly Clarkson filled the empty seat of Cowell.
"Simon Cowell had an accident over the weekend and he can't be here tonight. But Simon, we are sending lots of AGT love and our best wishes and we hope to see you soon. Standing in for Simon tonight, we are psyched to have a true superstar. Miss Kelly Clarkson," Crews said as he opened the show.
Crews questioned The Kelly Clarkson Show star how does it feel to be in the Cowell's seat as Clarkson seemed to be all excited being the judge. She jokingly admitted that she has been looking forward to being in this seat for years.
Clarkson said that she loves Cowell but she loved being in this chair. She further said that Cowell should take his sweet time to recover from the injury while she enjoys the job. She concluded hoping that the 60-year-old television personality will do better soon as she loves the show and thanked everyone for having her on the show.
Cowell had gone under a long surgery that ended up with a metal rod in his back. The entertainment manager and entrepreneur had met an accident while testing an electric bike at his home in Malibu, California.
However, Cowell was accompanied by his family members during the accident and he was rushed to the hospital immediately. The doctors informed that the injury could have been drastic if it was one-inch more towards his spinal cord. Thankfully, Cowell is now able to walk again.
On the show front, the performances are rocking the judges. One of the act by Pork Chop Revue performers were destroyed with humor by Mandel as taunted missing "audience booing".
