Kim Kardashian’s First Reality Show Even Before She Appeared On ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’
Kim Kardashian has been the star attraction of one of the most famous reality TV shows for more than a decade now. While Keeping Up with the Kardashians surged her popularity to a new height, this is not her first reality series.
The beauty mogul always dreamt of becoming a popular reality TV star. Kardashian recalls that she was around 11 or 12-year-old when The Real World was being aired.
She told her best friend then that she wants to be a part of a TV reality show. The KUWTK star shared this interesting tidbit while speaking to Weathsimple magazine in 2018.
While the reality TV icon had a dream of being a celebrity from an early age, she knew it was not easy to become a popular star overnight. Also, her parents explained to them that one has to slog to get the things they desire in life.
However, she was ready to work hard to fulfill her dreams. She changed her jobs several times during her teens before getting a chance to work with her close pal Paris Hilton.
Kim Kardashian worked as a part-time closet organizer and stylist of Paris Hilton in the early 2000s. She got her first experience in show business while working for her friend. The mother-of-four appeared on the heiress’s reality show titled The Simple Life between 2003 and 2006 on several occasions.
The beauty mogul started collaborating with several producers after working as a closet organizer for Hilton. She was looking forward to coming up with a reality show revolving around her family. Reports have it that the idea was initially pitched by her mom Kris Jenner.
It was Ryan Seacrest who worked on her idea and there was an announcement in August 2007 that the Kardashian-Jenner clan would appear on a new reality show. The show was tipped to be a “new non-scripted family sitcom.”
Keeping Up with the Kardashians was aired in October 2007 and went on to make the Kardashian-Jenner clan one of the world’s most popular families. The reality show has had 18 seasons so far with five special episodes and 256 episodes over the years.
The show still enjoys impressive TRP ratings and it's Season 19 is slated to air in September 2020, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports. While KUWTK is not the first reality show for Kardashian, it fulfilled the beauty mogul’s wish to become a popular reality TV star.
Today, Kim Kardashian is one of the most popular and highest-paid TV personalities of the United States of America. However, over the years, the beauty mogul has shown the world that she is more than simply a reality star. She is the owner of shapewear, fragrance, and cosmetics lines, a mom-of-four, and a social media influencer.
