David, Victoria Beckham Allegedly Want To Invite William, Kate Middleton To Son’s Nuptials Not Sussexes
David Beckham and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham got engaged to Nicola Peltz in July.
Now, the Beckham and Peltz family are already planning for the couple’s upcoming nuptials. And one of the things that they can’t, allegedly, agree on is Brooklyn and Peltz’s guest list.
According to New Idea, Brooklyn and Peltz want to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to their wedding. Peltz is, allegedly, smitten with Markle and she also wants to be close to the former actress.
However, David and Victoria are trying to convince the couple not to invite the Sussexes. After all, they are not on good terms with them.
The Beckhams also, allegedly, think that it’s more logical for them to invite Prince William and Kate Middleton to their son and Peltz’s wedding.
“Victoria is 100 percent Team Cambridge. Truth be told she’s still a bit stung. So the last thing she wants is Meghan sitting front and center at her firstborn son’s wedding. David thinks inviting the Cambridges should take precedence. He’s working with Wills on mental health initiatives – and as the future king, he is a much more important guest than two people who have dropped out of the royal family,” the source said.
However, the insider also said that Brooklyn and Peltz still need a little bit more convincing when it comes to their wedding guest list. The couple is still, allegedly, leaning towards inviting the Sussexes over the Cambridges.
Unfortunately, the Sussexes and the Cambridges can’t, allegedly, be in the same room with each other. So the newly engaged couple would have to make a quick decision regarding their guests.
As for David and Victoria, they are, allegedly, threatening to cut off Brooklyn if he won’t invite the Cambridges over the Sussexes.
“I could see Posh and Becks withholding money for the big day. Brooklyn and Nicola might argue that it’s their guest list, but their parents are the ones holding the purse strings. It’s just a matter of who pulls the ranks,” the source said.
However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt.
It is unlikely for David and Victoria to be calling the shots when it comes to their children’s wedding guests. As of late, there is still no confirmation whether Prince Harry and Markle have been invited to the wedding.
