Lively and Reynolds have been in Swift's inner circle since 2015. The couple led for their first daughter, Inez, to lend her adorable voice of "Reputation's" intro of "Gorgeous" in 2017.
The matter is the first time the "You Belong With Me" singer name-dropped someone in her songs, not just one but three real names. However, Swift also explained that the song is not about the character reference. She then went on to explain the track's backstory with Country Radio. As per E!, "betty" is a song of a 17-year-old teenager who lost her girl.
