Meghan Markle Heartbreak: Harry's Wife 'Frustrated', 'Damaged' For Keeping A Stiff Upper Lip
Meghan Markle has become a favorite subject of criticisms since she started dating Prince Harry in July 2016. Though the Sussex couple’s followers think that the former “Suits” actress and Harry are perfect for each other, there are, also, those who believe that they are not meant for each other. Despite all the hate and disparagements she received, Meghan chose to remain silent.
According to Andrew Morton, Meghan has been “frustrated” over the fact that she needs to keep her mouth shut and choose not to respond to all the harsh remarks and hurtful rumors being thrown at her and her family.
“She’s been frustrated by the fact that she's not been able to give her side of the story,” Morton said, per Daily Express. “All kinds of stories have come out about her, and she's not been able to answer back, and it's something she's found immensely frustrating," he went on.
The biographer of Princess Diana even stated that he feels sorry for Meghan Markle because she married Prince Harry’s “very difficult family.” Morton added that the Duchess has little to no knowledge about British culture and history.
To recall, Meghan Markle admitted, in an interview with ITV’s Tom Brady, that marrying Prince Harry had been “hard” for her. Despite this, the mother of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor stated that she tried to “adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip” to cope up with the pressure. She even revealed that a British friend warned her that tabloids based in the United Kingdom will ruin her life.
Though she never thought that living a royal life would be easy, Meghan said she expected it to be fair, at least. She, also, revealed that adopting the “stiff upper lip” strategy has damaged her internally.
Prince Harry, at the time, also, expressed that press interference has hurt him and his family, especially with all the lies and hate remarks they have been getting. The brother of Prince William, however, said he would not allow being “bullied into a game” that killed his mother, Princess Diana.
Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on Andrew Morton’s latest statements. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have, previously, made it clear that they were not interviewed for the “Finding Freedom” book, which was written by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie. The couple even stated that they did not contribute to the unofficial biography in any way.
