Jennifer Aniston Is Optimistic For This Reason Even Though ‘Friends’ Reunion Special For HBO Max Has Been Delayed Again
It seems fans who were waiting eagerly for the streaming of the Friends Reunion Special have to wait for some more time as the show got delayed once again due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Jennifer Aniston sounded positive despite the delay.
Reports have it that the cast of the show had plans for shooting with a few crew members by this month again. However, there has been a sudden spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, triggering its delay once again.
Although the fans may be disappointed for the delay of the reunion special of their favorite sitcom, Jen is optimistic. She spoke to Deadline after the news was out and told the publication that the show will be “super.”
The Friends alum mentioned that the delay will give the cast members to make the program more fun and exciting than it was originally meant to be. So, she sees the postponement of the show as a positive opportunity.
She jested that they are not going anywhere. The Morning Show actress also stated that their fans would never be able to ignore Friends and are stuck with the show for their entire life.
The leading actors of the iconic show include Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry. All of them will reunite for this special show in California.
The reunion special was originally scheduled to be streamed on March 23 and 24. However, the production had to be stopped amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
The streaming of the show was then postponed to May and slated to coincide with the launch of HBO Max on May 27, 2020. However, as of date, there is no fixed date for the special show to be streamed.
The official declaration of the show was made in February this year. The popular TV comedy series came to an end in 2004 after it was aired for around 10 years, WION reports.
Aniston said that it was unfortunate that the show had to be postponed once again. However, she is eagerly waiting to get back to it as soon as the health crisis calms down a bit.
Jen said that it was not safe to shoot with the live audience in the given scenario. The actress felt that it is not a safe period and that is the crux of the matter.
It is not surprising that the year 2020 is not a favorite year for Jennifer Aniston. She was supposed to get her driving license renewed but now does not want the year 2020 to appear in it. The actress simply wants the current year to be “out and behind” everyone.
