Queen Elizabeth reportedly has a close relationship with her granddaughter, Lady Louise Windsor.

While speaking with New Idea, a source said that the two are so close that the queen might even consider changing some laws to benefit her grandchild.

Lady Louise’s dad, Prince Edward will reportedly inherit the Duke of Edinburgh title when Prince Philip dies. And Prince Edward passes, the title will be passed on to his son, James, Viscount Severn.

James, Viscount Severn is much younger than Lady Louise. However, the 16-year-old won’t inherit her grandfather and dad’s title because she’s a girl.

But the source said that not all hope is lost because the queen changed the rules for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children. The source also said that Prince Edward will do everything in his power to make sure that Lady Louise will inherit the Duke of Edinburgh title.

“The Queen and Louise often go horse riding alone together, and they’ve bonded. She helped change the rules for Wills and Kate [so that] if their firstborn was a girl, [she] would have been queen even if she had brothers, so I can’t see her not supporting Lady Louise to be the Duchess of Edinburgh one day,” the source said.

Prince William and Middleton may also help Lady Louise find her rightful position in the royal family when they become king and queen. After all, they reportedly had a wonderful time with the teenager last year.

A source told The Sun that the queen is happy to see Lady Louis, James, and her great-grandchildren hanging out at Balmoral during the holidays.

“Louise also endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children when they were up there. Louise loves drawing and sketching and was very patiently trying to get Charlotte to do pictures of rabbits and deer. Because of her obvious artistic skill, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of the collection of Queen Victoria’s Highlands sketches, which are kept at Balmoral but are rarely dug out these days,” the source said.

During a previous interview, Lady Louise’s mom, Sophie, Countess of Wessex revealed that their entire family always visits the queen in Balmoral. Sophie and Prince Edward’s children also get to have tea with their grandmother regularly.

However, it seems that Lady Louise was unable to hang out with her grandmother in recent months because of the coronavirus pandemic.
