Queen Elizabeth doesn’t allow non-royals and former staff to continue using “royal” in their titles or names.

According to New Idea, the monarch is taking legal action against Prince Charles' former butler, Grant Harrold.

On his website, Harrold dubbed himself as “The Royal Butler.” According to the sources, the moniker is misleading because he no longer works for the royal family.

To make things worse, one of the photos on Harrold’s website features a wax figure of the queen. Lawyers claimed that this could further mislead the public into thinking that the queen still has a working relationship with Harrold.

Harrold describes himself as a royal butler trainer and an etiquette expert on his website. He also claims to be a broadcaster and royal commentator, a personal and an adviser to royals.

“It is possible that members of the public would believe he is educating butlers on behalf of The Queen at his Royal Butler School, that he was appearing in the media as her representative, as a representative of the household of her Royal Family," Mr. Jamie Muir Wood said at an Intellectual Property hearing.

Harrold’s trial against the queen and the royal family is expected to last six weeks. And it also came in the heels of the monarch’s decision to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles.

Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell exit, the queen said that they can only their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes. However, they can no longer be referred to as His and Her Royal Highness.

Meanwhile, Harrold continues to use The Royal Butler on his social media account even though the queen already decided to take legal action against him.

Today, Harrold even posted a cryptic quote using the hashtags #TheRoyalButler and #LifeLessons.

“Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, Harrold also made headlines after he shared what it was really like to work for Prince Charles. The former butler revealed that the heir to the throne has a great sense of humor.

Harrold worked as a butler for Prince Charles from 2004 to 2011. He said that the gig was so unbelievable that he had to pinch himself in his first year because he couldn’t believe that he was working for the future king.
