Jay Leno Supports Ellen DeGeneres Amid Ongoing Investigation
While the allegations are heating up as the investigation goes on, there are several celebrities supporting Ellen DeGeneres. Mostly, the stars who supported DeGeneres publicly faced backlash by the fans and followers on social media.
However, there is another big name from a similar background who showed support amid claims of workplace misconduct allegations on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Jay Leno came forward and extended his braced to the TV host via Twitter.
"I don’t discard a 40-year friendship on hearsay. The Ellen I know has raised over $125 million dollars for charity and has always been a kind and decent person. I fully support her. Jay Leno," he tweeted.
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno host had invited the 62-year-old host on his show on various occasions in the 90s. In fact, Leno also featured on the Daytime Emmy Award-winning show. Tyrese Gibson also supported DeGeneres and wrote a long Instagram post.
The Fate of the Furious star addressed DeGeneres directly and wrote if she is reading his post then he did like to inform her that she is a great wife and woman. Gibson called himself not being lucky enough to hang around DeGeneres much but he acknowledged giving nature of her and being kind at heart.
Gibson also encouraged her to stay kind and ensured that he will be the "Bad Guy" for DeGeneres and fight on her behalf. The actor and singer concluded the lengthy post and said that everything he spoke is based on how he feels about the comic and sharing his personal experience.
Actress Diane Keaton also stood up for DeGeneres and took Instagram to express how much she enjoyed being on the show. The Something's Gotta Give star also mentioned the gratitude and happiness she feels in the audience that DeGeneres reflects back.
These latest supporters followed by stars such as Ashton Kutcher, Katy Perry, Jerry O'Connell, Kevin Hart, and more. However, there are celebs such as Brad Garrett and former DJ at The Ellen DeGeneres Show named Tony Okungbowa shared their negative experiences on the show.
Warner Bros. Television issued a letter last month to alert all the employees about the third-party service involved in the matter. The service will ensure that former and current staffers are interviewed to share their personal experiences related to the show. After the step taken by the studio, employees might lookout for positive change in the workspace.
