This year could have been the 20th wedding anniversary for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had they remain married. Here is a glimpse into their grand wedding ceremony, which was full of drama.

Many called it the wedding of the millennium and July 29 2000 seemed to have a fairy tale ending for the Fight Club actor and the Friends alum. Two decades have passed and their fans are dying to see their romance revive. However, the duo divorced after Pitt, reportedly,  fell for his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-actor Angelina Jolie.

There was never a dull moment in Pitt and Jens’s wedding and the venue was decorated with 50,000 beautiful blooms. The gospel choir comprised of 40 members and there was a bouzouki band from Greece.

There was also an exquisite fire display worth around £15,000 and money was not an issue when two of the most beautiful stars of Hollywood exchanged their vows. Aniston later recalled the day as a fantastic one. Incidentally, their wedding expenses came to about a whopping $1 million, which was quite an exorbitant amount of money those days.

The exes had rented a sprawling and plush cliff-top estate, which was worth several million from Marcy Carsey, a TV executive. The airspace was restricted when the ceremony was going on to make sure of maximum privacy.

Their wedding reception was hosted under a huge white marquee so that helicopters could not get a proper shot. The security measures cost them about £76,000 and the guests were requested to put their signatures on a confidentiality agreement. Meanwhile, the County Sheriff of Los Angeles arranged for traffic control.

Jennifer Aniston’s wedding dress could never be seen properly and the newlyweds issued only a single monochrome picture of their special day. However, reports have it that the bride wore a floor-length, glass-beaded white silk and satin gown with a low back. It was, reportedly, designed by Lawrence Steel, a designer from Milan, Miror.co.uk reports.

Jen completed her look with specially made ivory suede heels. She also wore a Swarovski crystal gown and a simple veil on her big day. While Brad Pitt wore a chic black tuxedo designed by Heidi Slimane, his groomsmen sported Prada. The bridesmaids looked lovely in their green chiffon slip dresses.

The number of wedding guests was restricted to 200 and Jen’s friends included Courtney Cox. Pitt’s co-stars from Fight Club Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, and Ed Norton also featured on the guest list.

However, Aniston’s mother Nancy Dow was not on the guest list after she wrote a volatile book on her troubled relationship with her famous daughter. The couple penned their own endearing vows and Pitt was tearful while reading out his vow.

The world would assume that their marriage would last forever but Pitt fell in love with Jolie and left Jen in January 2005. Speculations were rife that the Maleficent actress was pregnant with the Fight Club’s baby before Pitt and Jen’s divorce was finalized.

Jennifer Aniston looked devastated in an interview with Vanity Fair many years ago when the subject was broached. She seemed to be at a loss for words then. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie went on to become parents of six children.
