Jennifer Aniston’s name is currently making rounds amid claims that she could replace Ellen DeGeneres as the host of Ellen Show.

Earlier this year, Aniston experienced what it was like to host the talk show after DeGeneres asked the actress to replace her temporarily.

The Friends star received rave reviews from her fans after she spoke to some of the guests on the daytime program.

Now that DeGeneres is embroiled in a slew of criticisms, there are claims that she might not return to Ellen Show. And Aniston could be her replacement.

However, Daily Mail revealed that Aniston isn’t the only possible replacement for the comedian. Sean Hayes, Melissa McCarthy, and Kristen Bell are also in the running to replace Portia de Rossi’s wife.

But out of the four A-listers, Hayes is the current frontrunner because of his availability and flexible schedule. The openly gay actor has also tried his hand at hosting the Ellen Show.

All four have global name recognition and their own following. They are all genuinely warm and could carry an Ellen-less show. Sean [Hayes] is currently the front runner as he has availability and he has proven successful when he has guest-hosted Ellen in the past,' they said. 'It's funny how history repeats itself. Many of us remember when Rosie O'Donnell was the queen of nice. Look how that turned out. She wasn't!” a source said.

Meanwhile, Aniston was recently slammed for not defending DeGeneres amid the ongoing criticisms. The Morning Show star and the funny woman are, reportedly, very close.

In fact, there were claims that DeGeneres fell in love with Aniston, which made her wife, de Rossi, furious.

Last year, NW claimed that DeGeneres has always had the hots for Aniston. And the comedian has been a huge fan of the actress since she was in Friends.

“She was a huge fan of the show and they have become good pals over the years. When Jen broke up with Brad, Ellen was there for her – and she has helped her through other crises in her life,” the source said.

However, Aniston and DeGeneres’ closeness isn’t, allegedly, sitting well with de Rossi. The source said that the Scandal star has always been insecure about her marriage and she’s jealous of the time that her wife spends with Aniston.
