Kate Middleton Resents Meghan Markle For Making Their Private Time, Conversations Public In ‘Finding Freedom’
Kate Middleton is, allegedly, reeling after learning about what’s been written about her and Prince William in Finding Freedom.
While speaking with Closer, royal author Katie Nicholl said that Middleton resents Markle. And after the Sussexes shared their private conversations and issues with the world, it is unlikely for the future queen consort to be able to trust them.
However, Nicholl also said that Middleton and Prince Harry used to be close. And the Duchess of Cambridge adores her brother-in-law. As such, it is Markle that Middleton will be wary of.
“The allegations claim the Cambridges have been cold and unwelcoming and I think they will be really hurt by this. I think the whole thing was a painful chapter for them, which they were hoping to move on from, but it’s bound to have created more resentment,” Nicholl said.
The royal author also said that the recent revelations would’ve likely bred mistrust from Middleton’s end.
“Kate is very private and the couple has kept a dignified silence amid the rumors over the years. Kate will have expected private time with Meghan to have remained private, so as a result there may be cautiousness going forward,” she said.
As of late, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have not yet reacted negatively to Markle and Prince Harry’s revelations in the book. But it seemed as though they weren’t affected by what’s been written about them.
On Tuesday, the royal couple greeted Markle on her 39th birthday via the Kensington Palace’s official Instagram account.
Meanwhile, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand have denied the Sussexes involvement in the book. They didn’t interview the royal couple, but their critics are convinced that the revelations in the book were written with their consent.
However, Nicholl said that Finding Freedom was written so that the Sussexes could air their side of the story. Unfortunately, the move backfired.
“We were sad to see them go, we wished them well with their new venture in America, and we were told it’d be a new chapter of optimism for the future. But this has brought up the past, opening old wounds from years ago. I think the only people who will take positives are the authors,” Nicholl said.
