Some reports have pointed out that Kate Middleton’s dressing style has changed after Meghan Markle, her sister-in-law stepped down from royal duties.

While Middleton’s sense of styling has evolved over the years, many Twitter users feel that the Duchess of Cambridge has no need to compete with her sister-in-law. Many people have remarked how Prince William’s wife dresses more simply after Markle’s exit as a senior Royal Family member. The Duchess is allegedly seen in simpler outfits these days.

On the other hand, several netizens are of the opinion that Middleton’s dressing sense did not depend on how the Duchess of Sussex’s dressed. These online users feel that the future Queen of England does not have to compete with any other person. 

However, grapevines do point out that the Duchess of Cambridge had to compete with her sister-in-law in the past. Middleton has innumerable fans who swear by her immaculate dressing sense though. 

One user called @jandrebarberxxx feels that there is no need to link Markle’s name with every article of the future queen. The user added - “Kate is confident in her own skin.” Another user @LisamomofK tweeted, “Catherine could wear an old curtain as a dress and look [better] than mm ever did when at her best.”

Many netizens did not stop here as they mocked Meghan Markle and said that the Duchess of Cambridge has a stunning figure while the former has “weird” legs and a “square box” figure. A user agreed and observed that Prince William’s wife has a tinier frame as compared to the Duchess of Sussex, which is an asset for the former. 

Several followers also feel that the two duchesses cannot be compared at all because Kate Middleton is the country’s future queen. Plus, she has been a member of the Royal Family for a longer time than Meghan Markle.

A netizen even asked on Quora whether Middleton ever had to face any fashion mishap or not as she is always so elegantly dressed. Some netizens responded to this query by saying that they could not recollect any such incident. However, a royal fan mentioned that Prince William’s wife had many fashion mishaps and also uploaded several snaps to prove the point. 

On the other hand, many experts have also praised the Duchess of Cambridge for her great fashion choices. People who have been following her religiously since she became the girlfriend of the future king say that her wardrobe has transformed with the passing years. 

Kate Stacey, who is the Head of Buying at Pure Collection, has shared with Express.about what she feels about Kate Middleton’s dressing sense. She told that the Duchess’ style has definitely evolved with the increase in her royal duties.
