Wiz Khalifa Teams Up with NY Producer Harry Fraud, Releases New Single ‘Top Down’
American rapper Wiz Khalifa has recently released his new single 'Top Down' on Friday, July 31. He linked up with Brooklyn-born hip-hop producer Harry Fraud. Fraud is known for his work with Young Money Entertainment's Curren$y and Moroccan-American rapper French Montana.
Remaining faithful to their free and easy aura, both have dropped off an exquisite hip hop track. As the fans of Khalifa have always been looking forward to, the said new single is smooth and is the typical roll-your-windows-kinda track.
Wiz doubled down on his releases as he also shared his feature on Juicy J's most recently released single, "Gah Damn High," on the same day. The track was also incorporated on the Road to Fast 9 Mixtape along with Wiz's 'Top Down,' which follows a string of records where Taylor Gang Entertainment rappers have put out including 'Fight to China.' Nine months later, Road to Fast 9 Mixtape launched its way to streaming services before the film's release.
According to NME, Wiz, along with A$AP Rocky and Future, and more artists added to the bill, will headline the first-ever European edition of the Rolling Loud Festival in 2021. The event initially should occur in Portugal on July 8 to 10 this year but was unfortunately postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
A Li'l Bit More of Wiz Khalifa
Cameron Jibril Thomaz better, known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, started writing lyrics at nine years old, and a few years later, he began recording his tracks. He was born in Minot, North Dakota on September 8, 1987.
As listed on Biography for musicians, Wiz scored his huge break with "Black and Yellow" in 2011, which was featured on his Rolling Papers record and peaked at the number two spot on album charts. The said album also included a bonus track called "Taylor Gang," which appears to be his fans' nickname. The nickname comes from the famous Chuck Taylor sneakers from Converse that Wiz is renowned for wearing.
He also co-starred in the comedy show 'Mac and Devin Go to High School' with Snoop Dog and then continued to make popular rap albums.
Wiz has collaborated with other artists like Pharrell Williams, Nas, Rick Ross, and many more.
Fast forward to 2015; he relished the massive success with "See You Again," where he performed with Charlie Puth. The popular ballad song is a tribute to the late Fast 7 Furious actor Paul Walker. It appeared on Furious 7's soundtrack and was nominated for various Grammy Awards categories.
