Nicole Kidman finally gets a chance to meet her mother Janelle in Australia after being away for eight months.
The Big Little Lies actress finally got an opportunity to reunite with her mother over the weekend. She was unable to meet her for the last eight months amid the lockdown restrictions.
The actress decided to share this touching moment with her Instagram fans by posting an adorable photo where she is seen hugging her mom at her Aussie home.
The Bombshell actress appeared emotional while giving a tight hug to her 80-year-old mom. She mentioned how good it felt to be able to embrace her mother Janelle.
The Eyes Wide Shut actress also wrote that she is meeting her mom after months and missed being with her when she turned 80 this year. The fans were touched too and responded with some sweet comments on her post.
For the universe, Kidman had been previously isolating with her husband Keith Urban, as well as, their two daughters at her Nashville home amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the family left for Australia last month as Kidman had to shoot for her upcoming project, as well as, meet her family there.
Nicole Kidman is known to share an incredibly close bond with her mother. The Hours star shared an emotional post on Instagram in March this year to celebrate her 80th birthday.
The mother-of-four posted a heartfelt photo of herself with her sister Antonia and mother Janelle as they sat outside and seemed to share a joke back in March. She wished a happy birthday to her mom and mentioned how much she loved her.
Kidman spent her early years in Melbourne with her mom, dad, and younger sister. Her father died after succumbing to a heart attack in 2014 at the age of 75. The actress usually loves to spend a lot of time in her native country, which she could not do after the pandemic started, Hello Magazine reports.
In other news, Kidman was seen coming out of her Southern Highlands estate after she completed her two weeks of quarantine with her family. The 53-year-old actress and her 52-year-old husband were criticized by some of their fans after they were allowed to skip hotel quarantine, which is mandatory for outside travelers who are flying to Australia.
However, the family has been self-isolating at their huge country home after they arrived in Australia from the United States in their private jet. Though they have been surrounded by controversies ever since they reached Australia, Nicole Kidman looked happy as she stepped out for the first time outside her property, Daily Mail reports.
