It's only been a few months since news of a new coronavirus strain has sprung up, but since then it has spread all over the world. The health crisis got worse that it was eventually declared a pandemic by the WHO.
The pandemic has crippled cities and impacted so many industries. Many countries have gone on lockdown after a surge in the number of positive cases. Even Hollywood was not exempted, with many productions shutting down and festivals like Coachella had to be moved to October.
Some celebrities have also been diagnosed with the disease. The first ones to admit that they tested positive were A-list couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson Hanks. They exhibited symptoms while filming in Australia but have since recovered and gone back to the US. Other celebrities who admitted to being positive include Idris Elba, Sara Bareilles, and Pink.
Sadly, some celebrities lost their battle with the disease and its complications. That includes actor Mark Blum, playwright Terrence McNally and many more.
In the midst of all this, celebrities have been stepping up to help during this time of crisis. Last week, Elton John hosted a concert for the benefit of frontline staff who are helping battle the disease. Some of the artists who participated include Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, and the Backstreet Boys.

Chris Hemsworth understands that this particularly hard for children, who cannot go out and play as they are used to. Through his app Centr.com, he is now offering a free 6-week trial for meditation exercises for kids to help them cope with their stress and anxiety.
