Queen Elizabethn And Prince Philip Are Planning A Vacation: It's Different This Time
Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip moved into the Windsor Castle a long time back. No expectations around that they would be going anywhere at this time.
However, according to the latest reports, the Queen and Prince Philip are leaving Windsor Castle for the first time since the start of their experiment in the estate house. One of their favorite destinations for escapades is their Balmoral Castle located in Scotland – it is where the couple loves to enjoy their summertime.
As usual, this time again, they will be celebrating the state of peace in the serenity of Scotland. History suggests that the royal pair goes to Scotland to have some leisure time, a break from tiring royal duties - they meet their loved ones, organize parties, and go on city tours. However, due to the ongoing rage of the pandemic, the Balmoral Castle may not be as enjoyable as it used to be - a number of exciting events remain canceled and the queen certainly doesn’t want a trip without events.
According to Ms. Robinson, the main attraction for the pair to plan a visit to Balmoral Castle is the Braemar Gathering.
She told the couple goes there ‘to see all the Highland Games such as ‘the hammer throwing, the tug-of-war, and the tossing of the caber.’ The gathering usually takes place on the first weekend of September. However, this time Queen won’t have any of those thrilling sports experiences.
The gathering was scheduled to take place on Sept. 4 by the Braemar Royal Highland Charity but was canceled in May in the light of pandemic.
United Kingdom government has been quick on easing up the lockdown restrictions and their response to contain the spread has been commendable, but the fear of a second wave of the virus has still kept the country far from going back to normal.
Some areas have seen a surge in the cases, so there has been a postponement in the unlocking process. And the Queen had to readjust her plans in accordance with the situation.
The date of their movement largely depends on the latest government guidelines but it is expected that the pair may make a move anytime soon in early August and stay there till the end of September.
The vacation may not be the best of all for the royal pair but it will certainly be a new experience different from the previous ones they had. The entire world is doing a reorientation and the royal house is no exception.
