Meghan Markle Allegedly Spends $2K A Week On An Extensive Seven-Step Hair Maintenance Procedure
Meghan Markle is, allegedly, very proud of her long, dark locks and is willing to spend thousands to keep it looking perfect as ever.
According to Globe, Prince Harry’s wife spends $2,000 a week on hair maintenance. After all, she doesn’t want to look anything less than picture-perfect.
“She’s very vain and proud of her locks and doles out at least $2,000 a week to maintain them. For Meghan, hair care is a seven-step process that she’s absolutely obsessed about and follows like a ritual,” the source said.
The insider also said that Markle’s hairstylist visits her house in Beverly Hills for her weekly keratin protein treatments. She also has a masseuse that massages her head to help stimulate her scalp.
“She’s very picky about who touches her hair too. When she was on her TV show Suits, she insisted on approval over who styled her hair. She looks so natural, but the truth is she spends days prepping and most of it revolves around her hair care,” the source said.
According to the insider, the entire procedure takes hours to complete, and it usually takes place inside Prince Harry and Markle’s bedroom. As such, the Duke of Sussex is left with no other choice but to stay out of his bedroom for long periods of time.
Markle, who has been dubbed as a perfectionist, is also, allegedly, very particular with the food that she eats. The Suits alum enjoys iron-rich foods like fish and vegetables, berries, seeds, and nuts.
Meanwhile, Markle also made headlines this week after it was revealed that she got into trouble for wearing a necklace with her and Prince Harry’s initial on it.
In the book Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed that Markle wore the necklace at the start of her relationship with Prince Harry. However, the jewelry was reportedly frowned upon by a concerned palace aide.
“She was advised that wearing such a necklace only served to encourage the photographers to keep pursuing such images — and news headlines,” the authors said.
After Markle received a warning from the palace aide, she, reportedly, said every little during the phone call. But after hanging up, she couldn’t help but feel emotional and frustrated.
“While she knew the aide had good intentions, the surreal experience of having someone from her boyfriend’s office tell her what kind of jewelry to wear or not to smile at a photographer was too much,” the authors said.
