Tracy Morgan Confirms Split From Megan Wollover After 5 Years Of Togetherness: Report
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover are filing for a divorce and it is official now. Morgan broke the news through one of his spokespersons.
The actor shared the news of his impending divorce through a representative after being married to Wollover for almost five years. The statement also requested people to respect their privacy as they are going through a tough time.
Meanwhile, Wollover’s spokesperson confirmed the news that she has filed for a divorce. The spokesperson mentioned that it is a confidential matter for the family and her main focus now is on the well-being of their daughter.
The 51-year-old actor and his 33-year-old wife share a 7-year-old daughter called Maven Sonae. The 30 Rock actor also has three adult sons from his former wife Sabina Morgan.
Morgan declared that he was engaged to Wollover on the red carpet of Emmys in September 2012. The duo had a long engagement and finally got married in 2015 in an exclusive wedding ceremony.
The comedian-actor walked down the aisle just 14 months after being part of a devastating highway car crash, which almost ended his life. A Wallmart truck hit the actor comedian’s limousine on June 7, 2014. The accident killed James McNair who was 62-year-old then.
McNair was not only a comedian but was also the actor’s collaborator and friend. Morgan had to be wheelchair-bound for about five months before his recovery.
Meanwhile, Megan Wollover made an emotional speech while getting married to Tracy Morgan. She said how grateful she was to be with her love after almost losing him. Wollover said they have been through a lot and their love has become stronger because of that.
On the other hand, Morgan remembered the horrifying aftereffects of the crash last June, which also happened to be the fifth anniversary of the accident. The funnyman thanked Wollover, as well as, his children and friends who helped him to recover fully.
He said not a single day passes when he does not miss his friend Jimmy Mac who succumbed to the crash and died that night. Morgan said he was grateful to God and for the love and support of his dear ones.
It was only a couple of months ago when the actor opened up to the People magazine and discussed how life has been for his family and him amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He said they were using the time to establish a closer bond. The actor said he has always had a hectic schedule and so the lockdown has given him the chance to spend more time with his family.
Meanwhile, Tracy Morgan referred to the coronavirus pandemic as an “equalizer.” He feels the deadly virus just proved that the entire world is together. The comedian also added he was waiting for the quarantine to end, Entertainment Weekly reports.
