Prince Harry has been dubbed as reckless and impatient by a royal expert.

In his article for Mirror UK, royal expert Andrew Morton slammed the Duke of Sussex for his decision to quit The Firm.

Morton said that there’s no more going back for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after what they did to the royal family.

“Harry is reckless and impatient in the face of turmoil. Harry was similarly hasty over the royal split. He seemed to want to sort out his detached life in 20 minutes,” he said.

Morton said that he doesn’t think Prince Harry will ever be content with his newfound freedom in the United States. And the only way he could enjoy his new life is if he reconciles with Prince William.

The royal expert also said that Prince Harry and Markle’s popularity became their undoing.

“Diana would understand why Harry and Meghan wanted to get out of what can essentially be a very toxic environment. But, just like Diana, Harry and Meghan’s popularity was their undoing. To use a footballing analogy, the monarchy wanted them playing in the Championship when all three saw themselves in the Champions League,” Morton said.

Despite royal author Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s clarification that there was never an issue between Markle and Kate Middleton, Morton said that there was tension between the in-laws.

“You don’t have to be a psychologist to work out there were huge tensions between Meghan and future queen Kate. Kate spent her childhood in competition with her sister, Pippa. Then along comes an accomplished, confident, popular American woman and she’s fighting for the spotlight again. In that sense, Meghan was Kate’s worst nightmare,” he said.

In the book Finding Freedom, Scobie and Durand stressed the fact that Middleton and Markle simply didn’t know each other. The authors also said that the in-laws never got into a fight. Rather, it was Prince William and Prince Harry that had a falling out.

At the end of the day, Morton still thinks that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t give their royal lives as a couple long enough. The royal expert thinks that Prince Harry and Markle could’ve been an international arm of The Firm.

This way, they can still live overseas and away from the royal family. And the royal family’s domestic duties will be left to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
