Tiffany Haddish’s Shocking Revelation On Why Racism Has Terrified Her To Have A Baby: Report
Renowned actress and author Tiffany Haddish came out in the open to discuss the reasons for her being afraid to become a mother. The comedian recently appeared on a YouTube show where she revealed how the fear of racism has made her skeptical to have a baby.
Haddish mentioned as she is a little older now, people keep asking her about when she plans to have a baby. The 40-year-old opened up about her fears to embrace motherhood on a YouTube show titled What’s in Your Glass.
The Girls Trip actress was in conversation with Carmelo Anthony and became emotional when she made this shocking revelation. Haddish said she did not want to give birth to a kid in a world, which was full of such terrifying incidents of police brutality and racism.
The actress said that a part of her wants to embrace motherhood but she always comes up with excuses such as she should have a million dollars with her before delivering a baby. However, the actress said in a shocking admission that she does not like the idea of giving birth to a kid who resembles her.
That is because they could be killed or hunted like many other Black people. She wonders why she should put another individual to go through a similar kind of anguish.
Anthony, who has a 13-year-old son agreed and said it was scary to even visualize that. Tiffany Haddish also said that white people do not have to go through such fear. She feels that time is ripe to discuss this burning issue and act as a unit.
Haddish also said that people have been trying to brainstorm on how to fix this issue and stop such atrocities against the Black population. She thinks it is important to change the hearts of people and has been trying her best to do so throughout her career.
Previously, the actress had shared how she has been subjected to racism all through her life because she was born and brought up in South Central LA. She had even opened up about an incident when the police “slaughtered” her pals right in front of her, ET reports.
Haddish was invited to the funeral of George Floyd and she decided to attend it despite not stepping out of the home before that amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The actress shared her trauma of watching people being killed in front of her when she was just about 13- or 14-year-old.
Tiffany Haddish said she felt helpless as she could not do anything in those situations except for shouting out. The actress said she attended the funeral to express her support and solidarity towards Floyd’s family because she understands what they would have gone through, ET reports.
