Meghan Markle, allegedly, blindsided Prince Harry with a secret marriage that even her closest friends didn’t know about.

According to National Enquirer, the Duchess of Sussex has been married three times. Her first marriage was with Trevor Engelson, and it ended in 2013. And her third marriage is with Prince Harry.

But after she divorced Engelson and before she married Prince Harry, Markle, allegedly, tied the knot with a mystery man.

“It’s definitely put Harry in a difficult spot. He must be completely embarrassed by this. Harry knew about Trevor, of course, and he accepted that. But two ex-husbands? That’s a lot to process…” the source said.

The insider said that Markle wasn’t also happy when Prince Harry found out the truth about her past. After all, she has been trying to keep the relationship as low-key as possible.

“Meghan’s past hasn’t been received well by the old-fashioned folk at Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth has been polite, but an annulled marriage could spell disaster for Meghan and Harry in the days to come,” the source said.

According to the insider, Markle decided to get an annulment instead of a divorce from her second husband because she wants to keep their relationship a secret.

While speaking with the tabloid, celebrity divorce attorney Julie Hyman said that it’s like the marriage never happened because they had an annulment.

“You also have none of the legal obligations that come with a divorce,” she said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. It is unlikely for Markle to have been married twice before meeting Prince Harry.

And if she was ever married twice, there’s no reason for her to keep it a secret. After all, everyone knows that she was married to Engelson for a few years before they filed for divorce.

It is also important to note that Markle is a public figure. Before dating the Duke of Sussex, she was already a public figure. She starred in Suits as Rachel Zane for several seasons.

As such, if she was ever married to another man, the news would’ve already leaked in the papers. But the fact that it was kept a secret until the Sussexes tied the knot makes the storyline questionable.

With regards to the queen, Prince Harry and Markle are no longer considered as senior working royals. The queen no longer concerns herself with the couple’s personal issues, and she seemingly never did.
