Jon Bon Jovi, 58, is in a pandemic reflection as his band, Bon Jovi, releases a brand-new song titled Do What You Can. Per Rolling Stone, the said track sings about the current global discord caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Do What You Can is a part of the rock band icon's forthcoming album entitled Bon Jovi 2020. "I believe the greatest gift of an artist is the ability to use their voice to speak to issues that move us," Jon Bon Jovi said. His statement also points out that being a part of history makes you a witness to history, about the coronavirus pandemic.

In times past, Bon Jovi has already premiered Do What You Can's acoustic version on Jersey4Jersey benefit special. The performance was done virtually straight from the band's respective homes. The group's heartfelt performance was graced by totally revisiting America's beauty in this time of crisis.

Bon Jovi has been hinting their fans for weeks for the Do What You Can release. The track's title first appeared in an Instagram photo posted by the bandleader himself. The photo shows Jon Bon Jovi washing dishes at his restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey. The JBJ Soul Kitchen has hugely contributed to providing food to eat to those who are greatly affected by the pandemic.

Bon Jovi 2020 comes after the band's 2016 album release entitled This House Is Not for Sale, initially scheduled for launch on May 15 but was deferred to October 2. According to NME, referencing the band's press release, the album also discusses the challenges the American citizens are going through at the moment as the election day is nearing to happen. The collection is also inspired by the tragic events America faced recently, including George Floyd's death.

George Floyd's death led the 1980's rock band to release the track American Reckoning. The said track, along with Do What You Can, replaces two original records of the band's forthcoming album.
