Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding guest, Troian Bellisario recently opened up about what it was like attending a royal family event.

While speaking with The Telegraph, the Pretty Little Liars alum said that the royal wedding was a nightmare for two reasons.

According to Bellisario, she suffered from extreme bouts of anxiety when she arrived at the venue with her husband, Patrick J. Adams. After all, she was trying to conceal the fact that she was five months pregnant.

Bellisario also said that she had a difficult time wearing the fascinator or the hats that royals wear when attending formal events.

“They look ridiculous unless you’re in the 1930s. You could get one that is an absolute piece of art, but then are you being too vain and trying to call too much attention to yourself? Or if you get a fascinator that’s very small, are you not going for tradition? I’d never needed a fascinator in my life, and here I was trying to walk this tightrope of ‘don’t go too big, don’t go too small.’ It was a nightmare,” she said.

According to New Idea, Bellisario managed to rock the right fascinator for her that matched her Sophia Webster dress. And the actress was also to keep her pregnancy a secret until August 2018.

Two months later, Bellisario and Adams welcomed their daughter, Aurora.

Bellisario received an invite to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding because of her husband. Adams played the role of Markle’s love interest in Suits.

But in 2016, Markle didn’t attend Adams and Bellisario’s wedding. According to Us Weekly, the former Hollywood star decided to skip the event to avoid overshadowing the newlyweds.

Back then, Markle was already dating Prince Harry. And the paparazzi had already been hounding her everywhere she went.

According to the source, Markle and Adams talked things out and they both decided that skipping the nuptials was the right thing to do.

“They both kind of agreed that maybe her coming would attract too much (of the wrong kind of) attention. They both thought it sucked,” the source said.

However, a source close to Markle denied the tabloid’s claims. The source said that Markle didn’t really have any plans to attend Adams and Bellisario’s wedding, and she didn’t also talk to her former co-star.
