Katy Perry Slams Media For Overhyping ‘Feud” With Taylor Swift? Here’s The Truth
Katy Perry is, reportedly, unhappy with the role played by the tabloid media for exaggerating her “feud” with pop singer Taylor Swift.
While the two songstresses had fallen out a few years ago, they have reconciled now. The Roar hitmaker revealed her feelings about the endless rumors related to her relationship with the Love Story singer. She also opened up about how her relationship with Swift is at present.
Perry was recently interviewed by Howard Stern when she tried to clear the air and discussed both the past, as well as, the recent rumors including asking Jennifer Aniston to be her baby’s godmother. She denied this rumor claiming it was a “wild one.”
She was also honest about one of the most talked-about feuds in recent times, which is Taylor Swift versus Katy Perry. The Fireworks songstress, reportedly, had a fall out with You Belong With Me hitmaker as they fought over two backup dancers in 2014.
These two dancers were associated with Perry previously but then decided to join Swift for her Red tour. However, when Perry declared her Prism tour, she, reportedly, asked these dancers to join her back and they did so.
While speaking to Stern, she mentioned why they decided to end their differences publicly. The songstress said she was “grateful” that things between them sorted out in this fashion. Perry also stated that false stories about her and Swift spread faster than the correct ones.
It seems Swift spoke to Rolling Stone about this but did not take names. The songstress told the publication that a person tried to “sabotage” her tour. The Delicate hitmaker also alleged that the same person tried to snatch some people who were working for her.
The next few years saw Swift crooning Bad Blood, which many believe was about Perry. Perry, reportedly, tried to get even with Swift with her number Swish, Swish. However, reports have it that she finally decided to end their differences.
Meanwhile, Perry feels the so-called feud between them was blown out of proportion by the press. She also spoke about women in the industry who had double standards and were against fighting with one another.
The good news is that both Swift and Perry are now determined to take their friendship to another level. Perry admits that she had always wished the best for the other singer. She seemed to be relieved that they can now discuss each other freely.
Despite endless rumors and reports, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift appear to have buried the hatchet now, which is no mean feat, Gossip Cop reports.
