Princess Eugenie's In-Laws Have Tested Positive For COVID-19, Reportedly In ICU
It was just last week when Prince Charles was announced to have contracted Covid19, the disease caused by the ner novel coronavirus. And now, other persons connected to the royal family have been diagnosed as positive.
According to Express UK, Princess Eugenie's mother and father in law, George Brooksbank and his wife Nicola have both been diagnosed with the virus. The Princess is a member of the royal family as she is the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duke and Duchess of York.
George and Nicola's son, Jack married the princess in 2018 at St. George's Chapel. Nicolas has been staying at home to heal from the virus, but according to Daily Mail, George is at the ICU. It was said though that his condition may be serious, he is currently stable.
While it has been difficult for the couple knowing that George's life may be in danger, it is not stopping them from doing everything can to help. They have been delivering much-needed supplies to frontline staff in Berkshire and London.
They are helping the princess' mother, Sarah, Duchess of York in this project of giving care packages. Included in the package are essentials like food and toiletries.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles is already on the way to recovery one week after announcing that he was infected. He is no longer in isolation, he says. While this news is welcomed by many in the UK, there were some apprehensions including from another royal from another country.
Prince Albert of Monaco, who also tested positive for the virus, feels that the Prince of Wales should be isolated for another week as he believes that the prince should be isolated for 14 days.
There were some speculations that Prince Charles might have been infected with the virus during the WaterAid charity luncheon last March 10, where Prince Albert was also in attendance.
As for the rest of the royal family, they are also self-isolating to ensure that they will not be infected. Their schedules have undergone changes due to the continuing crisis of the coronavirus pandemic.
One event that will be affected is none other than Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice's wedding. She and fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were supposed to be wed on May 29 of this year at the Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace which should be followed by a private reception at the Buckingham Palace.
