Actress Zelda Williams remembered her late dad Robin Williams on his birthday in the most endearing manner. She donated money to several charities, which would have made her father proud and happy for her.

Zelda tweeted that she will be donating an amount of $69.69 to various homeless shelters to honor her father’s 69th birthday. She said others can join her to help these charities if they wish to.

The House of D actress then revealed that she donated funds to charities who are working for homeless people and LGBTQ causes. Some of these charity organizations where the actress contributed are PATH, Midnight Mission, and Los Angeles LGBT Center.

It looks like Zelda has inherited the same giving spirit of her late father Robin Williams who passed away in 2014. The actor was actively engaged in various charitable causes including St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

Robin was a co-founder of a nonprofit organization called Comic Relief USA. The actor had also contributed funds to Christchurch in New Zealand after an earthquake hit the city and left it devastated.

Zelda Williams expressed gratitude to all her fans that joined her to honor Robin, her late dad, as well as the “number 69.” Meanwhile, the actress touched the hearts of thousands of her fans earlier this year when she posted some adorable pictures of her and her father on social media.

She referred to those pictures as “old gems” on Twitter. The father-daughter pair was extremely close to each other and even featured in a string of prominent projects.

They were seen together in films including Nine MonthsIn Search of Dr. Seuss, as well as the 2004 film House of D. The last one was the final film where they were seen sharing screen space, Entertainment Weekly reports.

In April this year, a posthumous YouTube channel was created to honor the late comedian. The channel featured some of Robin’s most memorable interviews with his family and friends and stand-up shows

Meanwhile, the actress tweeted she can hardly express her feelings in words while announcing her humanitarian initiative to honor her father. She said this would have touched him deeply.

Zelda Williams also mentioned that her father had a soft corner for homeless people and tried his best to help them. He also made sure that they were treated with respect.

Robin Williams passed away on Aug. 11, 2014, at his house in California. The actor was 63-year-old at the time of his death, CNN reports.
