Greg Vaughan Quits Days Of Our Lives, Addresses Through A Podcast
Greg Vaughan revealed that he is done with the show, Days of Our Lives. The actor appeared on a podcast where he made this announcement. Days of Our Lives is a long-running show that started back in 1965 and completed 55 seasons.
The 47-year-old actor went on That's Awesome! With Steve & Bradford podcast earlier this week. While he admitted that he is done with the show, he ensured that the fans are not disappointed. Vaughan said on the podcast that he is not permanently stepping out of the show but it’s kind of a well-deserved break.
The actor directly addressed all the fans without talking via host. He said that if my fans are listening then they should know that he felt his contract was about to end. "Days was going through a renewal negotiation and not knowing where they were going to go. I just felt my time was coming to an end anyways," the actor explained.
The Love's Christmas Journey star played Eric Brady's character on the show. The actor is associated with the series since 2012. Days of our Lives is one of the longest-running shows on NBC and last year in November, the show was renewed for its upcoming season.
However, the show got renewed soon after the news broke about all the actors on the soap opera coming to an end with their respective contracts. During that time when the renewal was under the process, a source confirmed that the show will go on with or without the actors.
The source revealed that the filming of the show is done in advance and the creators have gone way ahead of their time. Vaughan and Angie Harmon got engaged in December. The actor asked the Rizzoli & Isles actress for marriage during the Christmas holiday. Vaughan divorced her ex-wife Touriya Haoud in 2014, who is an actress and model.
Haoud and Vaughan shares three children. Similarly, the 47-year-old actress also split with Jason Sehorn, an NFL player in the same year. Sehorn and Harmon have three daughters together. However, it seems both of them have moved on from their past marriages and now ready to open a new chapter in their lives.
Harmon received a tribute from her to-be-husband on Mother's Day occasion, which fans loved. Vaughan posted a cute photo of them and captioned as "truly blessed". Fans are eagerly waiting for the couple to make it official.
