Katy Perry tried to set the records straight after rumors had it that she and her beau Orlando Bloom have selected their good friend Jennifer Aniston to be the godmother of their impending baby daughter. 

The 35-year-old singer who is pregnant with her first child with Bloom recently participated in the Kyle and Jackie O show when she was asked to confirm the rumor. The Firework hitmaker acknowledged that both she and her boyfriend Bloom are friends with the Friends alum. 

However, the songstress categorically said that the report of asking Jennifer Aniston to be her baby’s godmother is false. The Hot N Cold hitmaker further stated that they are all quite amused by such speculation. 

Perry further mentioned that The Morning Show actress texted them because they are pally with her. She also said her beau is one of Jen’s good friends. However, the songstress said it was a “wild rumor.”

Katy Perry indicated that there is no end of stories where their friend Jennifer Aniston was concerned. Yet, she thinks this one is a “fun rumor.” The songstress also acknowledged that she was clueless where such a rumor originated from. 

The Part of Me hitmaker gave an update on her pregnancy and shared that she felt she has reached a stage where “everything is swollen.” However, the singer-songwriter said she was trying to keep herself engaged while being in quarantine amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Entertainment Tonight reports. 

Perry said she is usually quite an active person. She has been concentrating on some new songs and has plans of coming up with a record. 

The songstress said she has been working quite hard even during the lockdown. Also, she feels blessed that she does not have to travel around thanks to the ongoing lockdown. 

In other news, Perry has shown her whole-hearted support for Bloom after the latter posted an update on Mighty, their missing dog. The Troy actor shared a touching message on his Instagram handle about his missing pet pooch after it got separated from him and his fiancée last week.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star posted some pictures of himself with his beloved dog and described the situation as a nightmare. Bloom mentioned that he felt powerless and thinks his state of mind was similar to people who lost their dear ones. 

Orlando Bloom described himself as a loving father and a devoted partner of Katy Perry. Yet he felt there are reasons why a dog is referred to as the best friend of a human, Hello! Magazine reports.
