A recent article insisted that John Travolta is disassociating himself from the controversial Church of Scientology after the recent tragic death of his wife Kelly Preston.

Preston was 57-year-old when she succumbed to cancer and passed away on July 12 this year. She was fighting against breast cancer for the last two years. While it has been a devastating time for Travolta and his close relatives, some tabloids have not stopped spinning stories without proper pieces of evidence.

Meanwhile, the departed actress’s half-brother interacted with Daily Mail recently and said that they were still mourning her untimely death. As such, he was not in a position to comment right now.

Her friends and family members are trying to cope up with this tremendous loss in their life and it will take at least some time to come out of their grief. However, a tabloid perhaps thought to capitalize on her death and published a report.

The report suggested how the Pulp Fiction actor was trying his best to compose himself for the sake of his children after his wife passed away. The magazine further contends that John Travolta is contemplating to quit the Church of Scientology.

The outlet claims to have spoken to a detractor of this controversial faith. The person said that the church could be apprehensive of the actor rethinking to whether being connected to the faith or not. The same source also added that the church does not want to let go of him from their clutches.

On the other hand, Gossip Cop slammed this story as false and exploitive. It feels the magazine is utilizing Travolta’s terrible personal loss as a reason for speculating about his personal life.

The magazine also insists that a second source told them that at this point, the actor’s priority is his two children. Travolta could be distancing himself from everything else for some time now, according to the unnamed insider.

However, there is nothing new in it. After all, whenever a person loses his/her loved one, the bereaved want to be left alone for some time to come to terms with their loss. Also, the Grease star has made this announcement in one of his recent posts on Instagram after the death of his wife.

The same insider did not produce any evidence to prove that the actor has left the Church of Scientology. The actor has been a supporter of this faith since 1975. Even his wife was a staunch member of the church.

Even after their eldest son Jett passed away all of a sudden, the couple remained loyal followers of Scientology. John Travolta has even given credits to Scientology to help him recover from this great personal loss. As such, there is no solid proof that the actor would change his mind now and leave the church.
