Mickey Rourke Reignite Fight With Robert De Niro, Calls Him A Crybaby
Mickey Rourke seems to take a dig at the legendary actor Robert De Niro, again. Both the actors have worked together decades ago in Angel Heart, which released in 1987. Since then, the actors had a rift.
During the filming of Angel Heart, Rourke accused the 76-year-old of having bad behavior on the sets. However, the 67-year-old star decided to call out De Niro again by writing a post on his Instagram.
In fact, he posted a picture in which De Niro is wearing an orange and black suit while smoking a cigarette. Rourke wrote De Niro's name at the start and confirmed that he is addressing him in the post. Then he called him a crybaby.
"A friend of mine just recently told me that a few months back you’re quoted as saying to newspapers “Mickey Rourke’s a liar he talks all kind of s--t”. Listen Mr. Tough Guy in the movies, you’re the 1st person that ever called me a liar and it was in a newspaper," he began the post.
The Sin City: A Dame to Kill For actor continued and wrote that whenever De Niro is seen anywhere, he is going to embarrass him. The actor took an oath on his brother, all his dogs, and grandmother. Rourke concluded the post by adding that God will be the witness.
Fox News requested reps of the Once Upon a Time in America star for a response to this post but failed. Even before the actor slammed De Niro on July 17, Rourke claimed last year that De Niro stopped him from getting a part in the movie, The Irishman.
Rourke revealed that the director of the movie, Marty Scorsese was looking forward to seeing him for a film that involves Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino.
Rourke disclosed on an Italian TV show called Live – Non è la D’Urso that his manager was informed by a casting person that De Niro scrapped the idea of working with him. Rourke explained that De Niro told him that it's better if they don't talk on the sets of Angel Heart.
It seems the Wrestler star is disheartened and as a result, he doesn't look up to De Niro anymore. In fact, Rourke told that he looks through the actor as he came this far from nothing while De Niro knows nothing about that life. Rourke elaborated that looking at De Niro's face makes him look through his a--hole.
