For the universe, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was approached for a role in the blockbuster movie Troy opposite Brad Pitt. However, the actress refused the role and Pitt felt that they “missed an opportunity” to work together. 

Aishwarya worked in a string of English language movies in the 2000s. She made her debut with the film The Mistress of Spices and followed up with many other movies like Provoked, Bride & Prejudice, The Pink Panther 2, and The Last Legion. 

However, not many are aware that Aishwarya also got an offer to work opposite Pitt in the historic epic, Troy, Hindustan Times reports. The actress was approached to portray the part of Briseis but refused the offer as she was not comfortable to shoot certain scenes in the movie. 

The role subsequently went to another actress Rose Byrne. The film was a big success at the box office and earned around $500 million globally. The Fight Club actor had said in the past they missed a chance to work together for Troy. 

Brad Pitt was promoting a film called Killing Me Softly in 2012 when he praised the Bollywood actress. He confessed that given an opportunity, he would love to work with her because she was a “versatile actor.”

Pitt also gushed that Aishwarya was also one of Bollywood’s most famous actresses and was equally popular in the west for her beauty, acting skills, and style. 

Incidentally, Troy was not the only Hollywood film she refused to do. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also was considered for several Will Smith projects including Tonight He Comes, Seven Pounds, and Hitch. 

She gave an interview in 2008 and busted the rumors that she turned down the Will Smith film because she wished to celebrate a religious ceremony back home. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said that the story was completely false contrary to what the US press wrote at that time. 

In other news, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were one of the most popular couples of Hollywood while being married. People were intrigued by their love story and adored them a lot.
