Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Wedding Rumors Debunked
The world is restlessly waiting for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton to get married, and as a result, reports about a wedding between the duo have been doing the rounds for a long time.
Living up to their reputation for debunking rumors about the couple in the past, Gossip Cop recently published some of the top rumors surrounding their purported wedding. Back in June last year, Star reported that Stefani and Shelton were gearing up for the "wedding of the year" and the ceremony would have 200 guests and cost a whopping $2 million.
An insider told the publication that the ceremony will be attended by the couple's celeb pals including Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, who will serve as the groom's best man. Gossip Cop pointed out that the insider didn't confirm when the wedding is slated to take place. The story wasn't unlike any other previously-surfaced report.
A slew of other sites followed suits, cover the same story. In October 2019, a report from Life & Style suggested that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton quietly got married during a camping trip for the "Just a Girl" singer's birthday. According to the magazine, the two tied the knot in a "hush-hush" ceremony, with a source claiming that Gwen didn't have an idea that her camping trip would turn out to be her life's biggest surprise.
Furthermore, the questionable insider said Shelton was helped by family members and Gwen's friends. Gossip Cop contacted a source close to the situation and confirmed the news was simply fabricated.
Another report that surfaced just days after Life & Style's story suggested that Gwen was postponing her wedding to Blake. According to the aforesaid report, Blake was “down in the dumps” following Trace Adkins and Victoria Pratt's wedding and was bent on marrying Stefani as soon as possible.
While the country singer was planning for a "dream wedding," things kept getting delayed. According to Gossip Cop, the report simply revived an old rumor that claimed Stefani visited the pope to get permission to marry Blake - Gossip Cop has already busted this rumor last year.
Earlier this year, OK! Australia jumped on the Gwen-Blake wedding rumors bandwagon, publishing a story that indicated the due were finally engaged and were planning a $3 million wedding. Without wasting a lot of time, Gossip Cop debunked this over-imaginative report, suggesting that Blake had already confirmed that he would make an engagement announcement via a more reliable outlet rather than a tabloid.
