Jennifer Aniston and her then-husband Brad Pitt were, allegedly, planning to have a baby before their marriage ended. However, it seems the former couple’s family plan was deferred after Angelina Jolie entered the picture.

Reports have it that Aniston was quite determined to have kids several times all through her acting career. A source has now insisted that the exes were actively preparing to have a baby together. 

There have been several theories about why the Friend alum and the Troy star’s marriage ended. Some people had held the Maleficent actress responsible for their breakup but others insisted that Pitt and Jen parted ways because the latter did not want to have kids. 

However, Jen has slammed such criticisms on many occasions in the past. She admitted while in conversation with The Guardian back in 2004 that she thought it was the right time for her to conceive a baby with the Fight Club actor. 

The actress even admitted that she was planning to slow down professionally because she wanted to get pregnant with Pitt’s child. However, The Morning Show star did not give a specific timetable for when she wished to conceive a baby with her then-husband. 

However, she sounded as if she would have loved to get pregnant by that year's end. Jennifer Aniston also said that while she was going to complete her work for the sitcom Friends soon, Brad Pitt would finish filming for his latest spy thriller Mr. & Mrs. Smith by then. 

A source claims Jen and Pitt were quite serious to have a baby together. The same insider insisted that the former couple was redecorating their house for a baby and added a playroom, a baby room, as well as, a separate room for the nanny. 

Sadly, though, the former couple’s plans to have a child together never saw the light of the day. The duo announced their intention to part ways in 2005 and Pitt started a romance with Angelina Jolie in the same year, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports. 

However, despite Jen’s tell-all interview in 2004, many people have continued to accuse her of not wishing to have any babies of her own. On the other hand, Jen had often spoken to outlets about her desire to become a mother. She slammed her detractors and assured her followers that she wishes to have a child someday. 

Brad Pitt went on to have multiple kids with Angelina Jolie. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston exchanged vows with actor Justin Theroux five years ago. However, their marriage did not last long as they split just a couple of years later and did not have any kids together.
