Although it may come as a surprise to some people, Angelina Jolie had complimented Jennifer Aniston once for supporting Brad Pitt through thick and thin.

Jolie and Pitt met for the first time while shooting for their 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The pair dated for about 10 years before walking down the aisle and only to part ways two years later. 

Even before the Maleficent actress and the Troy star emerged as one of the hottest items of Hollywood, the latter was happily married to the Friends alum. Pitt and Jen got married in 2000 and were together for five years before their split. 

The Fight Club actor eventually had a relationship with his leading lady of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Speculations were rife that the two co-stars romanced while shooting for their comedy-thriller. However, Jolie did say in an interview some years later that she was not in pursuit of a boyfriend at that time. 

Angie had a tell-tale interview with an outlet in 2007 when she revealed how their relationship started. Jolie accepted that Pitt was an astonishing element in her life.

She said both of them were not looking to enter into a new relationship at that point. She was not looking for a new boyfriend and was happy with her adopted son Maddox. 

Angelina Jolie said she was not aware of Pitt’s personal life. However, she had realized that The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star was living with his “best friend.” It was also clear to her that the actor loved and respected his then-wife Jennifer Aniston. 

The Salt actress also confessed that both she and the Troy actor had their lives full then. At the same time, Angie acknowledged she could not wait to reach the sets to shoot for the film and work with Pitt. 

She also shared several fond memories of Pitt and her when they did some crazy and fun things together. Angie feels they found a bizarre partnership and friendship, which happens without any logic. 

A few months later she realized that whatever she and Brad Pitt did on sets like fighting about a scene, doing stunts, dance classes, or filming a shot together, they found a lot of happiness. Eventually, they became a sort of a pair. 

However, the actress mentioned that only after the filming got over did they realize there was more to their friendship than they had imagined earlier. They both understood that their friendship meant more than what they allowed themselves to believe initially, Pinkvilla reports.

Meanwhile, Jen recalled the only time she met Jolie while in conversation with a tabloid in 2006.  The Morning Show Star said that she met Jolie when she was still married to Pitt, Hindustan Times reports. 

Jennifer Aniston revealed that she had only complimentary words to tell Angelina Jolie. She told the other actress that her husband Brad Pitt was thrilled about their new film.
