With all major music festivals being canceled and deferred to later dates, Tomorrowland is one massive Belgian festival that is surely unstoppable.

On July 14, the KatyCats, among with other Tomorrowland Festival goers, went insanely nuts when the electronic dance music event announced added Katy Perry as one of the performers. The huge announcement was posted on the event’s official social media accounts.

The announcement video starts with the virtual introduction of the 2020 Tomorrowland stage along with graphical writings that reads, “SPECIAL PERFORMANCE LIVE ON STAGE KATY PERRY,” tagging along with the music of Katy Perry’s new single ‘Smile’.

The video continues with the American Idol judge Perry and the DJ-record producer Martin Garrix on a video call conference. Garrix asked Perry, “Are you excited to perform at the Tomorrowland?” the singer then answered, “I’m excited because I’ve seen it growing up”.

That chat of Perry and Garrix continued for the rest of the video clip tackling on how this year’s Tomorrowland festival will change the perspective of the festival goers on their innovation, considering the event will be exclusively done virtually, Billboard reported.

Defining it as a “different world,” Perry admitted that she has always been a fan of the festival, from the visuals, the people on it, and the energy.

Perry also came to ask Garrix how this year’s event will push through, considering she is a Pop genre artist. Garrix was then quick to enlighten Perry’s mind on how Tomorrowland can be very flexible when it comes to their performers. Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha are among of the pop artists who graced the previous Tomorrowland festivals.

This year’s Tomorrowland Around the World will bring to serve over 60 on-demand artists from across the globe on 8 different stages, such names are Martin Garrix, Katy Perry, San Holo, Paul Kaulkbrenner, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Steve Aoki and many more [Deadline].

The festival will be taking place on July 25-26. For tickets and full details please visit Tomorrowland.
