Brad Pitt Opens Up About The Most Beautiful Compliment He Received From This Co-star
Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt bagged his maiden Oscar award this year for his brilliant acting in the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The actor spoke about the most beautiful compliment he received from one of his co-stars.
Pitt always disliked the idea of being typecast in a particular role. He has tried out different kinds of roles in his long and illustrious acting career.
However, his exemplary acting in the 1991 movie Thelma & Louise earned him several meaty roles in films such as Se7en, Legends of the Fall, and Interview with the Vampire. The actor has also featured in cover pages of innumerable magazines.
The Fight Club actor has had the good fortune to act with some of the most iconic actors of Hollywood like Morgan Freeman and Robert Redford. The actor also starred with the Oscar award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins in the 1994 film The Legends of the Fall.
The two legendary actors came together in December last year to contemplate about the Hollywood film industry in general and their careers in particular.
Brad Pitt was in conversation with the Silence of the Lambs actor for Interview Magazine. Hopkins accepted that they should be passionate about acting and should enjoy doing that. However, it is better not to take things too seriously.
The older actor has known Pitt for several years now and called him “a character actor” in the body of a matinee idol. The Allied star loved this compliment showered on him by the great actor.
Pitt accepted that it was the most beautiful compliment he ever got from a co-star, the Deccan Herald reported.
The Troy star had earlier mentioned that he started understanding in the nineties that there were certain leading roles where anyone could be plugged in and it would not have made much of a difference to the fate of the film. He was perhaps referring to the drawback of being typecast.
The actor confessed that it was a conscious effort in his part to accept only projects that had substance after his commercial success in the 2004 film Troy.
Meanwhile, Pitt has been also focusing on off-screen projects, which are close to his heart through his production company called Plan B. The actor noted that the film industry has a tendency to lean towards the younger age-group instead of the mid-fifties demographic to which he now belongs.
Brad Pitt revealed that he loves being a producer, as well as, working behind the camera in an interview last year. Looking at the tremendous opportunities now available on various streaming platforms including Amazon Prime and Netflix, the actor is definitely not planning to move out of the showbiz industry just yet.
