In an unreserved podcast interview with Armchair Expert, 41-year-old singer John Legend opens up about his previous cheating struggles.

The podcast’s hosts, Monica Padman and Dax Shepard, bluntly asked the singer if he was into cheating at some point of his life. “And there's all these great cheating songs on your albums,” Shepard said. Pointing out his personal cheating experiences to the singer. “…and I was like, 'I see another fisherman at sea,'" the host added.

Frankly, the "All of Me" singer immediately answered and explained his experiences. "Yes, I did have a history,” he said, making references to his 20’s. Legend explain how cheating came into his younger years, experiencing a lot of struggles and changes. He added that his cheating experiences are influenced by his peers both in high school and college. Per Legend, he hadn’t initially really got a lot of girls into his life, but when the time came that he had one or so, the feeling was irresistible.

In addition, Legend disclosed how he continued cheating in his previous relationships by keeping a very low-profile aura. However, the singer was quick to unbacked his actions by highlighting that cheating is cheating, and it is an act of dishonesty and selfishness.

All of his cheating experiences occurred prior to his music career and even continued doing the act on his early fame years by taking advantage of the attention he has been getting a lot.

Well, things ended well for Legend’s cheating career per se. According to E Online, the wind’s directions changed when Legend married American model/TV personality Chrissy Teigen in 2013.

Per People, quoting Legend’s statement, “you're happier being honest.” When the duo tied the knot, Legend instantly decided to not make a mess in their relationship, then adding how life can be so much happier when one is faithful and in love at the same time.

All of his cheating experiences in the past will stay in the past because his life now, together with Teigen and two lovely kids, Miles and Luna, became lighter allowing his horrendous experiences to be freed.

In the interview’s conclusion, Legend cheekily said how Teigen’s 12 million Twitter followers will kill him if he does anything stupid. “…it would be career suicide," he said.
