Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth Could Allegedly Move To Sandringham Or Balmoral For This Reason
Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth may, allegedly, relocate to Sandringham or Balmoral before the end of the month.
According to Woman’s Day, the royal family is facing a cash crisis because of the coronavirus pandemic. As such, they have decided to open some of the buildings owned by the royal family to generate income.
While there is still a huge risk for staff and royal fans to get infected by the deadly coronavirus, the queen is at a loss with what she can do. Since Buckingham Palace is out of the question, one of the first buildings that will be opened in Windsor Castle.
Prince Philip and the queen have been isolating at Windsor Castle since March. And if it will be opened to the public, the royal couple cannot keep staying there.
“The queen is at a loss over what to do. She’s staring down the barrel of losing 140 personnel because they are losing millions of pounds in revenue by not allowing visitors,” the source said.
“Buckingham Palace is out since it’s in the heart of London, so it’s looking like they’ll be spending a lot more time out at Sandringham or Balmoral. They can’t live at Windsor if it’s going to be crawling with tourists, but that’s where the money is,” the source said.
Prince Philip and the queen are both at risk for COVID-19 because of their age. This is the reason why the queen is still isolating at home while some members of the royal family are already performing their royal duties.
The Duke of Edinburgh, on the other hand, has been retired since 2017. He was recently spotted driving a car on the private grounds of Windsor Castle.
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are also at high-risk for coronavirus. And the heir to the throne tested positive for the illness in March. But they have both started attending their royal duties.
Last week, they made a joint appearance at Asda, where they talked to the employees and heads of the company.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are also performing their royal duties publicly for the past two weeks.
There are claims that the Cambridges will be given more duties and responsibilities following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Megxit. Prince Andrew also stepped back from his royal duties months ago due to his alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s case.
