Even a global pandemic isn’t going to stop love from blossoming between Hollywood celebrities. The latest couple to take their relationship to the next step is Brooklyn Beckham and actress Nicola Peltz, who have announced their engagement.

CNN reports that the 21-year-old model and photographer popped the question to the 25-year-old actress two weeks ago but only shared the news with the world over the weekend through his Instagram.

In his post, Beckham called Peltz his soulmate and called himself the luckiest man in the world. Beckham also made a promise to be the best husband to his future bride and the best father to their future children.

First to react to the news was his mother, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. The singer and fashion mogul said she could not be happier and expressed her hope that her son and Peltz would have a happy life together.

A day later, Brooklyn’s father David also congratulated his son on his Instagram page. Today reports that the world-renowned footballer called the couple “two beautiful people” and remarked that the family was happy that the two would be going on this journey together. 

The engagement comes after only half a year of dating, as the couple only became “official” when Beckham posted a photo of himself and Peltz on his Instagram page back in January. Since then, Beckham has made sporadic appearances on Peltz’s Instagram, accompanied by captions like “Soulmate” and “I’m dating my best friend.”

Aside from Beckham, another celebrity who has found love just recently is former One Direction member Niall Horan. Horan has apparently found his “lockdown love” in Nicholas Kirkwood shoe buyer Amelia Woolley, who he met before London imposed a lockdown because of the global coronavirus pandemic.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s developing romance was also a media favorite over the past few weeks, with the pair photographed recently on a date at the restaurant Nobu in Malibu. Aside from a number of other sightings, Fox has also starred in Kelly’s latest music video, Bloody Valentine.

Actors Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck have also been spotted wearing matching jewelry and sharing clothes, fueling speculations that the two of them are in a relationship.

Also possibly engaged like Beckham and Peltz are pop star Lily Allen and Stranger Things actor David Harbour. Allen was spotted wearing an eye-catching diamond ring on one of her posts on Instagram, fueling the rumor.
