Five friends of Meghan Markle came to her defense last year amid the countless criticisms she was receiving.

They spoke with People to shed light on what kind of person Markle really is. And they also denied some of the allegations surrounding Prince Harry’s wife.

In a recent statement, Markle revealed that she didn’t give her pals consent to speak on her behalf. But they decided to do so because they were concerned about her.

Back then, Markle was pregnant with Archie. And the Duchess of Sussex didn’t feel that she had the support and protection of the royal family against the media.

Now, Mail on Sunday is threatening to reveal the identities of five of Markle’s friends. However, the Suits alum is urging them not to do so because her friends are private individuals who deserve privacy.

But before Markle’s friends’ identities can even be confirmed, Woman’s Day is already speculating on who these pals could be.

People described Markle’s friends are a long-time friend, a one-time co-star, a close confidante, a friend from LA, and a former colleague.

According to the tabloid, Markle’s close confidante could be Jessica Mulroney. The besties have been friends for 10 years since Markle moved to Toronto to film Suits.

However, there are claims that Markle and Mulroney recently had a falling out following the latter’s racist remarks. As of late, their feud hasn’t been confirmed or denied by the parties involved.

Markle’s friend from Los Angeles could allegedly be Heather Darak, a Pilates instructor. Darak allegedly visited Markle for a long weekend while she was still living in Canada.

The Duchess of Sussex’s long-time friend is allegedly Lindsay Jill Roth. The two have reportedly been together through thick and thin. They also went to college together.

According to Woman’s Day, Markle’s one-time co-star could be Abigail Spencer. Even though she didn’t share several scenes with Markle on Suits, they both reportedly got along well. Roth also stayed with the Sussexes last Christmas.

Markle’s former colleague is allegedly Sarah Rafferty. She and Markle shared several scenes together in Suits. Rafferty was present at Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding.

And she also expressed her excitement after learning that Markle already gave birth to Archie last year.
