Brad Pitt, previously, came to Angelina Jolie’s defense after the actress was accused of wrecking his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

Since the timing of Pitt and Aniston’s split coincided with the actor filming for Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the public assumed that Jolie was behind the divorce.

But during an interview, the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor said that this wasn’t the case. Pitt said that he and Jolie filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith for an entire year.

He and Jolie were still filming their first movie together when Pitt and Aniston split.

“Even then, it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t,” he said (via the Hindustan Times).

Jolie also indirectly denied the allegations that she caused Pitt and Aniston’s marriage to fall apart. She told Vogue that she and Pitt waited until the end of filming to talk and decide if they wanted to take things to the next level.

Based on Pitt’s timeline, this means that Aniston was already out of the picture when Jolie and Pitt had the talk.

During her interview with Vanity Fair, the Friends actress also said that she believes Pitt when he told her that he didn’t cheat on her. Aniston also took responsibility for the role she played in their divorce.

The actress said that marriage is about two people. And chances are, both parties involved are at fault. As such, she doesn’t want to put all the blame on her ex-husband.

Today, Pitt and Aniston are still friends. And there are claims that Pitt and Jolie’s relationship has also become more cordial.

Globe went as far as saying that Jolie and Pitt are planning a vacation with their six children. The entire family is allegedly thinking about going to a remote location to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

“Brad and Angie are dreaming if they think they’ll be able to keep up this friendly façade once they’re actually hanging out in a foreign country. Being calm and cordial with someone whose guts you’ve hated for 99 percent of the past four years is certain to spell a lot of tension,” the source said.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. Pitt and Jolie aren’t vacationing together. And if they have plans, they would have to wait for a few for months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
