Drake Reveals How He Kept The Coronavirus At Bay On Tory Lanez's Instagram Live Show
Drake hosted a brand new show dubbed ‘Quarantine Radio’ on Instagram Live in collaboration with fellow Canadian rapper Tory Lanez on Mar. 31. Drake jokingly divulged details about how he has been able to keep the coronavirus at bay having 'a certain drink.'
The 33-year-old globally acclaimed rapper made his appearance on the Quarantine Radio, cracking a lighthearted joke about how he's leaving no stone unturned in a bid to ensure he doesn't get the coronavirus. The new Instagram Live show Quarantine Radio is the brainchild of Tory Lanez, who wanted to offer celebrities a platform to share their quarantine experiences, according to a HollywoodLife report.
Drake's appearance on the live show led Tory’s stream to nearly break records with a whopping 246,000 viewers, who were in for a treat as the “One Dance” singer radiated his upbeat energy from his home in Toronto. When Tory asked Drake how he has managed to steer clear of the coronavirus despite being around his good friend, and professional basketball player Kevin Durant.
Durant, 31, contracted the virus just days after hanging around with the rapper. Drake attributed his ability to successfully dodge the coronavirus to a drink - which he held up, jokingly explaining that it was all because of "wine." Before taking another sip of his drink, Drake told Tory that a glass of wine helps keep corona away.
Kevin shocked his fans when he announced that he had tested positive for the coronavirus last month. Just one week before this announcement, he attended a basketball game and was even spotted at Los Angeles-based The Nice Guy restaurant with Drake.
Fans were understandably concerned that Drake may have contracted the virus too, but much to their relief, the Canadian rapper confirmed that he tested negative for the virus during the Livestream chat with his dad Dennis Graham. Reports about Drake self-isolating after hanging out with Kevin Durant began doing the rounds online, but he revealed his negative test results just days after to debunk these speculations.
Durant, along with three other Nets teammates have contracted the coronavirus. While Drake was able to avoid contracting the deadly virus, a myriad of other celebrities have tested positive, increasing the number of infected people to an alarming 859,883 worldwide. It is worth noting that in the U.S. alone, 188,545 have reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus, which has claimed 3,899 lives in the country, according to a HollywoodLife report.
