Despite supposed denials from both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, musician August Alsina says that he stands by his “truth” about the supposed affair that happened between him and Jada Pinkett Smith.

E! Online reports that the 27-year-old singer posted a lengthy message on his Instagram that purportedly alludes to his supposed relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith without actually naming the actress or her husband, Will Smith.

In the message, Alsina said he understands why Pinkett Smith would deny their affair but also maintaining that he is not attacking her and that what he is railing against are the “invisible walls of silent societal construct” people put in place because they want to be approved by and accepted by society.

Alsina maintained that he cannot apologize for being transparent and truthful, however uncomfortable that may be for other people. He also claimed that there is no right or wrong in the situation, “it simply just IS.”

As pointed out by ET Online, the rumored affair between Alsina and Pinkett Smith has been something that has been going around in Hollywood circles for some time, with people even speculating that Alsina’s song Nunya was actually about the actress.

Those rumors remained rumors until recently, when Alsina claimed in an interview that Will Smith actually gave his blessing to the affair, due to the transformation of the relationship between Will and Jada from a marriage to a “life partnership.”

Jada Pinkett Smith has not directly addressed the comments from Alsina, although she hinted in a tweet that she would probably address it on her talk show, Red Table Talk. Will Smith, on the other hand, has reportedly said through a representative that the said the story is “wrong.”
