To play a part in this highly-anticipated movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nanjiani had spent an entire year with nutritionists and trainers to achieve the physique that is expected from a superhero. To celebrate his achievement, the 42-year-old actor-comedian shared his pictures on social media while flaunting his abs.
The photos of him being shirtless in perfect larger than life physique went viral. In fact, the comedian went on and posted more pictures of him posting as iconic characters and doing their impressions. He chose characters such as Wolverine and Maverick.
At that time, Nanjiani received a paycheck of $15,000 soon after posting the pictures to host at Gentlemen's Club. However, Silicon Valley’s fame recently commented that he didn't make a good decision by flaunting his body.
Nanjiani participated in a roundtable discussion with fellow comedians such as Kenan Thompson, Ramy Youssef, Dan Levy, and Ricky Gervais. During the discussion, he was asked about his viral photos in which he was shirtless to which Nanjiani revealed how surprised he was to see the pictures became popular and viral.
The comedian told that if he had a clue about the kind of reaction he would receive, then he might have avoided posting such photos. He explained, “I don’t want to get into it, but you get a weird body dysmorphia when the whole world is concentrating on how you look.”
He went on and said he is extremely grateful that people loved those pictures and that's the reason why he put them out in first place. However, when he received the reaction he expected, it felt weird to him. He felt that people are judging him physically while he knows many people have worse than him but it made him felt naked and shallow instantly.
Nanjiani admitted that he became obsessed with his look and then he would see things that he perceives as flaws. Nanjiani was in news for being on boards with The Eternals and considering that it seems his reaction is valid. He became popular with his presence so far in sitcoms such as Silicon Valley aired on HBO and The Big Sick.
