The adventure for Taichi and Agumon continues in the fifth episode of the anime series.

Digimon Adventure Episode 5 is titled Holy Digimon and it will tell the tale of the battle between light and darkness.

As soon as Taichi touches the mystical stone slab, an unknown voice starts to talk to him, according to the official synopsis shared by Twitter user Wikimon.

The unknown voice tells Taichi and other Chosen Children, a story of the battle fought between darkness and light.

This battle was fought long ago and it affected the Digital World in unimaginable ways.

Meanwhile, the movement by the Dark Digimon starts to impact the digital instruments in the real world.

This can only be stopped if they can power the Holy Digimon. However, the Dark Digimon goes after Taichi, Koshiro and others.

In Digimon Adventure Episode 5, Taichi and his friends are trapped by the Dark Digimon. But in order to save Koshiro, Tentomon rises.

“The Digital World’s secret and the Chosen Ones’ mission. When all is nearly revealed, danger closes in on Taichi and the others! The adventure continues to a new world,” reads the official preview of Digimon Adventure Episode 5.

The anime series is based in 2020 and human beings have started depending on The Network to lead their daily lives. However, humans are unaware that there is a Digital World on the other of The Network. It is a place of light and darkness. Taichi’s mother and a younger sister named Hikari went to Shibuya and they are on a metro train. Taichi goes after her mother and sister to protect them, but when he reaches the station, a strange thing happens. Later, he is transported to the Digital World.

Digimon Adventure cast members include Yuko Sanpei as Taichi Yagami, Chika Sakamoto as Agumon, Daisuke Namikawa as Yamato Ishida, Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon, Ryoko Shiraishi as Sora Takenouchi, Atori Shigematsu as Piyomon, Yumiko Kobayashi as Koshiro Izumi, Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon, Marika Kono as Mimi Tachikawa, Kinoko Yamada as Palmon, Takeshi Kusao as Joe Kido and Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon.

Digimon Adventure Episode 5 will be broadcasting on Saturday, July 4, 2020. Fans can watch this episode via live streaming mode online on Crunchyroll. The episodes are available with English subtitles. The network is yet to release any update on English dubs.
