Touted as a top fundraiser for Trump's campaign, Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle has tested positive for COVID-19. This revelation was made by one of the top officials for the committee. Trump Victory Finance Committee's chief of staff Sergio Gor said she was immediately isolated to restrict any exposure.

Giving an update on Guilfoyle's health, Gor said she is doing well and will be tested again to ensure whether or not the diagnosis is correct since she has shown no symptoms. As a precaution, Gor added, Guilfoyle's upcoming event will be canceled. Donald Trump Jr. tested negative but has self-isolated and canceled all public events as a precaution.

Just ahead of Donald Trump's impending event at Mount Rushmore, Guilfoyle tested positive in South Dakota, a source familiar with the matter said. The former Fox News television personality had traveled with the president as he gave his eminent speech in South Dakota, but she remained absent from the event after testing positive for coronavirus, the New York Times reported.

A person familiar with the matter said Guilfoyle did not accompany the president and Donald Trump Jr. and had tested negative so far. The source clarified that she had not had recent contact with Trump, but she was backstage for his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as at his event in Phoenix.

Earlier this year, Guilfoyle assumed the role of national chairwoman of the Trump Victory Finance Committee, where her job is to expand its rank of fundraisers. According to people familiar with the matter, Guilfoyle, along with Trump Jr. has been in the upper Plains region for several days where they hosted high-dollar fundraisers.

A source says Guilfoyle met a lot of campaign donors recently. Dubbed as Mountain West Ranch Retreat, one of these events took place in Gallatin Gateway, Montana from June 30 to July 2. Another event called the Rapid City Roundup Retreat was held in Rapid City, South Dakota from July 2 to July 3. Guilfoyle did not wear a mast during the events, the people said.

Guilfoyle is not the first person close to Trump to test positive for COVID-19. One of his valets tested positive earlier this year. Aside from that, eight of his advance team staffers who attended the Tulsa rally tested positive for coronavirus.

All campaign staffers who attended the Tulsa rally were quarantining last week, after coming in touch with their colleagues who tested positive for COVID-19, CNN reported. Campaign aides get tested ahead of events, as per the Trump campaign's safety protocols.
