Chris Evans Receives A Gigantic Salary In 'Avengers: Endgame'
Chris Evans was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, which was a massive box office success in 2019. Evans began to play the character of Steve Rogers since 2011 and soon he became a key hero.
Considering his earnings apart from his portrayal of Steve Rogers on the big screen, the actor has various projects such as Defending Jacob, which streams on Apple TV+.
The 39-year-old remained to align with the Captain America’s last mission in every interview and said Avengers: Endgame was his last task in Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he still kept the curiosity for the fans as he might wear the cape again.
In a conversation with Scarlett Johansson, Evans said quoted the popular saying, "never say never". He told Johansson how much he loves Captain America's character and it is difficult to deny playing Steve Rogers again while he is not eager to play either.
As per Vanity Fair, Evans is currently busy with other projects and said, “I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey.” With this statement, he kept the possibilities of Captain America returning back if the script demands.
Before being a part of the MCU franchise, Evans had already been a part of films such as Cellular, Fantastic Four, and Not Another Teen Movie. According to a source, the actor signed the first Captain America for a $300,000 salary.
For Avengers: Endgame, Evans charged whopping $15 to $20 million as the film broke all the records in the first week and collected $1.2 billion. However, Evans has shared multiple times that he wasn't sure about playing the character of Steve Rogers back in 2011 and the Studio had to convince him that this role is perfect for him.
Evans revealed that he was scared and the nine-year contract seemed too long. He explained that he felt social anxiety and working on one movie at a time is easier because he would have a step back and think before going ahead with another project.
Although with a long term contract, Evans was scared that he would not respond well. Eventually, he realized that the reasons that might lead him to turn down such a contract aren't valid. Thankfully, the beloved character realized that doing anything out of fear is not good and he pushed himself to land into the role.
