Ellen DeGeneres Allegedly Seething At Her Haters For Spreading ‘Mean Girl’ Comments About Her
Ellen DeGeneres is allegedly seething at her critics for spreading claims that she’s a mean girl.
According to Us Weekly, the Ellen Show host is already at the end of her rope amid the recent Queen of Mean allegations.
An unnamed source claimed that Portia de Rossi’s wife initially thought that the comments were just sour grapes from a few haters. But it didn’t take her long to realize that it’s not a passing thing because the blows just keep on coming.
However, DeGeneres still hasn’t responded to the accusations due to a crisis management rule. Brand expert Eric Schiffer told Pop Culture that DeGeneres hasn’t defended herself due to the crisis management rule of not telling an untruth.
“And for her to come out and deny it would be an untruth,” he said.
Schiffer said that DeGeneres cannot deny the mean girl comments because they are true. He also said that the comedian has one of the biggest egos in Hollywood.
Despite the criticisms, Us Weekly’s source said that DeGeneres is grateful to her wife because de Rossi has stuck by her.
“Ellen’s so grateful to have Portia in her life as a soulmate and a sounding board, but that doesn’t mean it’s been easy. Their home life is strained right now. … Her real friends never ask her to be funny or tell jokes. They accept her as is,” the source said.
Meanwhile, there are also claims that DeGeneres’ hit talk show, Ellen Show will be canceled after its current season. Recent ratings confirmed that the talk show saw a huge drop in its number of viewers since the lockdown started.
The coronavirus pandemic hit the United States around the same time that DeGeneres was accused of being mean. Due to this, the funny woman was unable to film her weekly episodes at the studio.
DeGeneres has been hosting the Ellen Show from the comfort of her home. She usually interviews celebrities and special guests via video call.
In the past, Ellen Show was one of the highest-rated talk shows in the country. But the title is allegedly starting to go to Kelly Clarkson’s show.
As such, some tabloids are convinced that DeGeneres is seething at Clarkson’s success. And she is allegedly worried that the American Idol could take over not only her show but also win over her fans.
