Jason Statham turned down the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they offered him a role. The martial artist actor refused the chance to be a part of MCU whereas there are many actors who would have been gladly taken the opportunity to be a part of the Marvel movie.

However, Statham does not fancy being in a Marvel movie. Screen Rant explained that Marvel movies have heavy CGI that being in one of them is no big achievement. Statham said that Marvel overuse CGI in their movies due to which it is doable for anyone.

“I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and they’ll put her on a green screen, and they’ll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action,” the 52-year-old actor told The Hollywood Reporter

The legendary director Martin Scorsese and Statham could have an interesting discussion on this topic as Scorsese also declared that movies created by Marvel aren't really "cinema" with relatable stakes. However, some fans might argue that it is completely Scorsese and Statham’s loss to miss such big franchise, but as huge as Marvel is, it is difficult for them to benefit everyone.

The studio has decided to make some unique decisions to make that will lead them to create movies without the main heroes which they started initially, Captain America and Iron Man. It doesn't seem to be fair to claim that Marvel always uses CGI as Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson have gone through pains and given rightful credit to the stunt team.

Heidi Moneymaker performed as a stunt double for both the stars and helped Johansson when she was expecting a baby during the Age of Ultron. It seems like a challenge for the MCU to use less CGI while it seems impossible for Doctor Strange's sequel and The Eternals.

However, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings might offer Statham to perform stunts and action throughout without much use of CGI. Even if it doesn't get Statham excited to collaborate with Marvel, at least it will showcase what the Studio is capable of producing apart from their CGI work.

Fans are sure if Marvel can create a film about Ant-Man and make this character a hero, then they can use less CGI and get successful. Statham is known for his action scenes in movies such as The Expendables and Crank and with his unique charm, he made his own fan base.
